Amical means "friendly" in French, and that's exactly how we want you to feel when you walk through our doors. Although our name is French, our food goes far beyond French cuisine. Back in 1994, we opened in downtown Traverse City, offering French-inspired dishes with beautiful views of West Grand Traverse Bay. Since then, we've introduced our cookbook dinner series—each month from November to May, we pick a cookbook and create dishes from it for an entire week. We've explored over 150 cookbooks so far, giving our guests a chance to discover flavors from all around the world in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Thanks to our cookbook dinners, our menu has grown and changed, and now Amical brings a variety of global cuisine to Traverse City. We’re proud to serve creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes using fresh, local meats and produce.
